                Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE) established under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 is approved by Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India. Dr. R. Department of Aerospace Engineering 

                     The Department of Mechanical Engineering draws its strength from a team of dedicated faculty members with both academic and industrial experience. The department is well equipped with laboratories. The software packages available in the Department include AutoCAD, Solid works, CATIA, Edge-CAM and ANSYS.

                     Aviation field in India and abroad is growing at a fast pace. Study of Aerospace Engineering has garnered a distinct place for itself in the last few years. It has consistently been catching the fancy of engineering aspirants who wish to give wing to their dreams. In Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE), we are well-equipped to meet the challenges of this demanding branch of engineering with the best faculty and facilities. With our expert training, we are confident that our students will soar high in their careers and prove to be competent rocket scientists.

RULES:

Paper Presentation

     If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. It is the presentation which lifts the card trick from the level of the common place Puzzle to the status of an unforgettable and inexplicable mystery. We are here to give you a vibrant platform to showcase your ability to put forward your views on any technical topics.

Rules:

1.The abstract must be submitted on or before 19th February 2019 to aeris2k19@gmail.com.

2.The competition is open to undergraduate students of all disciplines.

3.A team can consist of up to 3 people.

4.Single participant teams are welcome too.

5.No participant can be a part of more than 1 team.

6.There is no restriction on the number of teams from the same college.

7.The papers will be judged on: Originality Simplicity Objectives Methodology Findings and Analysis Presentation Conclusions

TECHNICAL QUIZ

    A Scientist can Discover a new Star but he cannot make one. He would have to ask an engineer to do it for him. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited, Imagination encircles the world. Technology is a useful Servant but a Dangerous Master.

Rules:

1.Each Team can have 2 members.

2.The Preliminary round will be the written test.

3.Selected teams will move to the next stage (Pre-final).

4. Pre final will be held between the teams selected and 10 teams from Pre final round would move to the final round.

5.Final round will be a buzzer round.

GLIDER COMPETITION

Rules:

1. Each team Will be permitted one glider at the contest.

2. Glider must be Prefabricated and to be brought by the team(Kits will not be Provided).

3. Length of the Glider must not exceed 20 inches.

4. Gliders may also be painted or decorated.

4. A flight is disqualified if the plane fails to fly through the first target.

6. The result will be announced on the basis of high endurance and the distance covered.

7. Each team is allowed two trails and the best flight of the two is recorded as the team score.
